Elizabeth Yip-Armitage 葉倩儀 is a contemporary dance artist based in Canada. Her dance practice is grounded in passion, dynamics, and emotion. She works between performance, choreography, and movement direction/coaching.

Elizabeth Yip-Armitage is a graduate of Modus Operandi, under the direction of Kate Franklin, Tiffany Tregarthen, and David Raymond. Following graduation, she was an apprentice company member with RSA (Radical System Art), directed by Shay Keubler. Now in her third season, Elizabeth joined the Toronto Dance Theatre (TDT) ensemble in 2024 under the direction of Andrew Tay, performing and interpreting work from a diverse range of Canadian and international choreographers for stage, gallery, and site-specific performances.

Elizabeth has performed and originated roles in works by Yin Yue Dance, Khoudia Touré, Shay Kuebler/RSA, FakeKnot, Andrew Tay, Ingri Fiskall, and Michele Rizzo.

Past choreographic residencies include The Scotiabank Dance Centre, Boombox, Vines Art Festival, and Leña.

Elizabeth’s choreographic work has been presented at Vines Art Festival, The Dance Centre’s 12 Minute Max Showcase, Boombox, Pedestrian Protest (Vancouver Art Gallery), and the Festival of Recorded Movement (F-O-R-M).

Alongside dance, Elizabeth is also a freelance actor and model.
